Craig’s Cruisers is a western Michigan chain of three family fun centers that feature an arcade, mini-golf course, go-cart racing area, and other interactive games and rides for the whole family. Ken Miedema, of Concrete Revival LLC, in Jenison, Michigan, was contracted in 2013 to remodel the floors at the Grand Rapids location. He utilized V-8 High Performance Floors products by Xtreme Engineered Floor Systems to achieve several very unique applications and looks.
The first unique feature of the remodel can be seen right through the front door. The Craig’s Cruiser logo is permanently coated into the floor overtop the V-8 Hybrid Full Chip Vinyl System. Following the logo, Miedema created a fun pathway resembling a road that leads through the building to the go-carts. He achieved this look by polishing and dying the concrete. The line tape distributed by Xtreme Engineered Floor Systems created the final visual effect to complete the road.

Another unique installation can be found beneath the Frog Hopper. Miedema wanted to create the look of a pond, complete with frog and lily pad graphics. He used the V-8 Hybrid Platinum Color Pigment System to create a metallic, two-toned effect that would be visually appealing and a fun addition for the kids to enjoy. The entire floor was previously covered with carpet mastic. Craig’s Cuisers remained open during the installation period.
The Craig’s Cruisers logo was printed on mesh material and has been permanently coated into the floor.
