Solid Solution Products, a polyurea and urethane developer and equipment manufacturer for concrete joint fill and repair, announces E-Z Pour, a revolutionary method of filling concrete control joints. This new, patent pending, polyurea mixing and placing system is designed to fill the gap between traditional, cumbersome polyurea cartridges and high-end joint fill machines. E-Z Pour offers concrete contractors speed, easy mixing and placing, and 24 standard colors with custom colors available.
“E-Z Pour is focused on the market segment using cartridges to fill control joints and for concrete jobs where a polyurea pump may be used,” says Brian Bowers, President of Solid Solution Products. “This product offers a less expensive and more sensible way to fill joints and some concrete cracks. Anyone who has used polyurea cartridges knows they are problematic. Once you get a cartridge, you end up with excess inventory, only one color, and a short shelf life. With pumps, you have the same operating and cleaning issues. E-Z Pour is a more flexible, versatile, and lower cost method of doing the same thing.”
Based on Contractor Feedback
Listening to the concrete contractor marketplace and hearing its frustrations with traditional polyurea cartridges caused Bowers to dream up the idea of changing the packaging and methodology of polyurea mixing and placing. With his decades of experience in working directly with contractors in the field, he knew the new joint fill method had to be simple, cost-effective, and contractor-friendly. He is confident this polyurea mixing and delivery system is an excellent innovation for the concrete industry.
Bowers testifies to E-Z Pour’s versatility in that it you can use it outside. “Yes. You can use it outside. It is a hybrid aliphatic polyurea. When you go outside, you need more flexibility than you do indoors. E-Z Pour has over 600% elongation. This allows contractors to handle concrete slab movements that are more typical in outdoor environments. And the color is UV-stable. This makes it perfect for the outdoor decorative concrete market,” he states.
