Kaza Concrete has announced the availability of "Edgy" tiles. Edgy consists of a collection of two tiles, one being three dimensional, the other two and half dimensional. They give structure to smooth walls. The tiles can be applied on interior or exterior surfaces, covering walls partially or entirely.
The three dimensional form is made up of asymmetrical surfaces "folding" onto one plane to form a hexagonal base. By playing with concave and convex planes and using them to accentuate one another, it creates the effect of visually pulling the user towards itself.
The side surfaces of the two and half dimensional form imitate the three dimensional one, giving it a playful character, despite the flat top surface.
Edgy’s asymmetry enables the designer to create a multitude of patterns, allowing flexibility and individuality, as well as a wide range of use: from decorative surfaces, guidance systems or even the integration into corporate identities.
Edgy tiles were designed by Patrycja Domanska and Tanja Lightfoot. All basic colors of the tile are available in matte or gloosy finishes (bespoke colors are available on request). The tiles are made of reinforced, coloured fine composite concrete. Dimensions are 160 × 138 mm 62.50 with a thickness of 7 mm on side and at the highest point, 50 mm.
