The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) is pleased to announce it will host its Construction Career Pathways Conference on Nov. 30. This conference is a one-day event held as a prelude to the Association for Career and Technical Education’s (ACTE) CareerTech VISION 2022 Conference.
This year’s Construction Career Pathways Conference will cover important topics, including best practices for establishing education and industry partnerships, incorporating technology into construction education, and success stories from up-and-coming young craft professionals. Networking and team activities will take place throughout the day between presentations.
Held in Las Vegas, Nevada for 2022, the event will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The cost to register is $100, which covers breakfast, lunch and a reception following the conference, along with resources to make collaboration more efficient. Space is limited and registration is required. To register, visit here.
NCCER launched the Construction Career Pathways initiative in late 2013 to address the need to establish meaningful partnerships between local industry and education. This relationship is key to a successful system of workforce development. With workforce shortages continuing to grow, a clear pathway from school to industry is needed now more than ever. By working together, we can create solutions that forge those successful pathways for students and lead them into lifelong careers.
NCCER would like to thank the following organizations for their sponsorship of the 2022 conference: Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), ISN, Pearson, Stanley Black and Decker, Bechtel, SUNDT, CareerSafe, Kiewit, Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), Miller Electric, Simpson Strong-Tie Career Pathway and Steel Erectors Association of America (SEAA).
