The American Concrete Institute is pleased to host the ACI Concrete Convention in San Francisco, CA, USA, on April 2-6, 2023. The in-person event showcases companies, projects, research, and more, plus numerous networking events where you can expect to meet with many of the concrete industry’s leading professionals. Attendees may also visit the exhibit hall to learn more about the many products and services offered by exhibitors.
The convention will have a robust schedule that includes over 300 committee meetings, 45+ technical sessions, an industry trade exhibition, networking events, and much more. The committee meetings are open to all attendees. Select programming will also be available on-demand to attendees who choose to participate remotely.

Opening Session
The Opening Session is the official start to the ACI Concrete Convention and will begin with a welcome address by ACI President Charles Nmai.
International Lunch with speaker Yuji Isshiki
Student Fiber-Reinforced Concrete Bowling Ball Competition: Students will eagerly form and construct fiber-reinforced bowling balls, hoping that they don’t strike out in competition against their peers. Testing will be performed in groups throughout the day, so be sure to swing by and join in the excitement. NEU Carbon Neutral Concrete Specialty Day
NEU: An ACI Center of Excellence for Carbon Neutral Concrete would like to make the Spring 2023 specialty day focused on carbon neutral concrete. This event will have multiple speakers that will aim their topics toward contractors, engineers, architects, owners/operators, and relevant industry NGO’s. Attendees will gain understanding about the innovative materials and technologies that ACI is advancing through its committee and center work that they cant then use to create more carbon-neutral concrete.
Concrete Mixer
Join ACI attendees and guests for an evening of networking, entertainment, and great food during the Concrete Mixer, held at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. An assortment of food and beverages will be available.
NEx Workshop on FRP Reinforced Concrete
Join NEx: An ACI Center of Excellence for Nonmetallic Building Materials for a workshop that will educate owners, designers, and contractors on user experiences working with FRP reinforcement. This two-part workshop will cover advantages offered by FRP reinforcement, including: lightness, non-corrosive nature, and ease of placement in hot and cold weather; plus, both user experiences and challenges with transition from conventional reinforcement to FRP.
President’s Reception
ACI President Charles K. Nmai invites all convention attendees to the President’s Reception, where you’ll have the opportunity to network with committee Chairs, chapter Presidents, and also international attendees. An assortment of food and beverages will also be available.
Technical and educational sessions will be presented live with on-demand viewing available afterwards, providing substantial opportunity to advance concrete knowledge. The sessions will be available to both those that registered for the in-person event or Virtual Technical Sessions. All technical sessions will be available virtually through the convention platform and will be available for on-demand viewing after premiering live at the convention.
Throughout the convention, ACI will hold over 300 committee meetings, 50+ technical sessions, an industry trade exhibition, networking events, and more.
