Threaded rod anchors can be used in a variety of base materials such as concrete, brick, block, and stone. The applications where threaded anchors can be used include ventilation systems, lighting, air conditioning, cable trays, suspended ceilings, and overhead utilities.
ConFast threaded rod anchors are available in both vertical and horizontal configurations for the threaded rod, depending on the application. In addition, a setting tool is also available to assist in the installation process.
Product specifications
- Used in conjunction with 3/8” x 16 threaded rods
- Anchor diameter is 1/4” inch and length is 1-1/2” inches
Typical Installation
- Using a hammer drill with a 1/4″ ANSI standard carbide bit, drill a hole 2” deep in hammer and rotation mode
- Remove all dust and debris from the hole
- Use a drill with a nut driver or setting tool in rotation mode to drive the threaded rod anchor into the previously drilled hole
- Once you have tightened the anchor against the surface, installation is complete. You can then attach the threaded rod.
