The ACI Foundation’s Strategic Development Council has recently announced it will be hosting a Technology Forum. The format allows forum session attendees the opportunity to also earn Professional Development Hour (PDH) certificates. Upon request after the sessions, ACI Foundation will then send you the certificate of completion for those PDHs.

Forum topics center around one of the SDC’s goals, in addition to Technology Showcase presentations that highlight both new and innovative equipment and materials. It will also focus on applications that are/will be available to the concrete industry to assure its continued advancement and improvement.
Forum 47 presentations will include:
- “Shaped by Concrete” – PCA’s integrated Campaign;
- Recent Developments and Initiatives from ACI Committee 222 on Corrosion of Metals in Concrete;
- Resiliency and Concrete; also
- The DOT Mindset and Embracing Innovation
A panel presentation, What the New Durability Code Will Mean to You. During this presentation, the use of this code will be addressed from the viewpoints of academia, contractor, owner, and also engineers/specifiers.
Technology Showcase presentations include:
- The Science of Seawater-Mixed Cementitious Materials, also
- Handheld Instant Air Meter – Fresh Total Air and Specific Surface in Situ.

About the ACI Foundation
The ACI Foundation began during 1989. Its aim is to promote progress, innovation, and also collaboration. It is both a wholly owned and operated non-profit subsidiary of the American Concrete Institute. Three councils make up the ACI Foundation. These councils are as follows: the Strategic Development Council. Among other things, this council also commits itself to resolving the issues of new technology acceptance within the concrete industry. Additionally, the Concrete Research Council makes up the ACI Foundation. This council both funds and assists in the research of new concrete technologies. Lastly, the Scholarship Council, which facilitates both student fellowships and scholarships.
