With the new PowerStar Concrete Floor Maintenance System from Amano Pioneer Eclipse, professionals now have an effective integrated system of pads and chemicals specifically designed for concrete floors and that work with traditional scrubbing and burnishing equipment.
The system consists of four major programs — daily maintenance, periodic maintenance, light restoration and full restoration. The daily maintenance program uses automatic scrubbers, high-speed burnishers and PowerPolish HT curing pads to maintain the floor’s appearance. The periodic maintenance program uses special PowerGloss polishing pads to remove minor scratches and surface marring. The light restoration program uses more aggressive PowerGloss pads to address floors with more severe wear, and the full restoration program incorporates special diamond grinding machines to remove surface stock on new, unpolished or heavily damaged surfaces.
In addition, Amano is identifying PowerStar Stain Resistant Top Shield as a component of the PowerStar Concrete Floor Maintenance System. The innovative and unique composition of Top Shield creates a durable ultrahard surface that repels water and stains. Just as important, Top Shield allows the slab to breathe, releasing underlying water vapor that could lead to interior damage and surface deterioration. Top Shield is applied at the end of the concrete floor polishing operation. A floor care professional, using a microfiber applicator, can walk on the treated surface even before it dries, sometimes in as little as 30 minutes, without affecting the floor appearance.
Properly applied, Top Shield can elevate the gloss level of an untreated floor by almost 10 points.
