At World of Concrete 2015, Bon Tool introduced a new tamper head attachment for its popular Buster Bar. The Thumper Tamper tamper head locks into Bon’s spring-loaded Buster Bar which produces 1450 pounds of energy per blow. Using the tamper with the Buster Bar helps concentrate the blow force on the same spot, making less fatigue for the contractor. It is ideal for hardscape project preparation.
Bon’s Thumper Tamper is cast aluminum with a forged steel hex shank. The head measures 8-by-8-inches. Bon’s Buster Bar (Part #84-964) and Thumper Tamper (Part #84-969) are sold separately.
The Bon Buster Bar accepts standard 1-1/8-inch-wide by 6-inch shank jackhammer tool bits for multiple applications. Bits are available for cutting asphalt, breaking concrete and breaking up frost.
