Coval appoints director of technology, Brian Mueller. Mueller brings years of coatings and advanced materials research experience to Coval to advance and promote their next generation coating applications. He is an innovative technology manager, a scientist, a grant writer and a technical sales consultant.
Mueller is experienced in the application of novel approaches in advanced materials and coatings, semiconductor manufacturing, oil and gas as well as total well site sustainable solutions. He holds a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry. Additionally, he has also been active in the industrial specialty chemicals for over 20 years with claims to over 38 patents. In addition to his position with Coval Group, Brian is also actively consulting in several areas.
He is the principal investigator on 2 DOE and 1 NSF SBIR research grants. Mueller has involvement in rare earth extraction and coal-based materials. He has conducted work in lithium-ion battery electrodes. His role as the primary chemist on the development of a new, energy efficient desalination process for high TDS brines (>100,000 TDS) is another accolade. He is the lead technical consultant for the lowest cost, safest and most carbon-neutral produced water recycle process to make clear brine for fracking. He is an expert in advance oxidation processes. His experience in polishing and cleaning in front end semiconductor manufacturing is also an asset
