ChemMasters, Inc. has announced the introduction of Polyseal EZ Shield, bubble resistant, non-yellowing acrylic curing and sealing compound with penetrating silane “shield” for beautification and protection of decorative concrete. Polyseal EZ Shield is a “low-VOC” product formulated to meet the stringent regulations for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) in states requiring less than 350 g/L VOC’s.
Polyseal EZ Shield forms a clear protective, UV stable coating that meets ASTM C309 curing efficiency specifications and helps freshly placed concrete achieve its full design strength and durability. Its resistance to bubbling and “cobwebbing” ensures maximum user friendliness during application under a wide variety of environmental conditions. Fortified with a silane “shield”, Polyseal EZ Shield has deep down penetrating protection that doesn’t detract from clarity, gloss or color development desired for use on stamped, exposed aggregate and other decorative concrete finishes.
Polyseal EZ Shield is also an exceptional sealer for previously cured concrete and less prone to bubbling, cobwebbing, whitening, delamination and over application than other low-VOC sealers.
Whether it’s used to cure or seal concrete, Polyseal EZ Shield offers continued protection to exterior decorative concrete surfaces from fertilizers, salts, grease, oil, stains, alkalis, and mild acids while minimizing spalling due to freeze/thaw cycles and deicing chemicals.
