At World of Concrete 2015, Diamatic debuted eight new products.
The BS-110 Walk Behind Scraper is part of a new line of scrapers with an electric drive system. This easy-to-use, high-powered 110 Volt, self-propelled scraper is best for removing glue, VCT, wood and other floor covering products in small and medium projects.
To complete the line of scrapers, Diamatic has introduced a popular battery-operated, ride-on scraper in the 2,000-pound class. The BMS-220 ABD Ride On Scraper has an all-day battery system and is outfitted with the most versatile blade angle system available today. It will run for eight to 10 hours on an overnight charge.
Diamatic introduced the new 555 PRO Grinder Polisher. This 22-inch planetary grinder has been designed for the middle-size grinder market and has some new features not found on other grinders in its class. With a completely new, bullet-proof drive system and a 10-minute breakdown and disassembly, the 555 Pro Grinder’s design allows it to be moved to basements and other hard-to-reach areas. This high-production, mid-level machine is offered in three different horsepower models.
Diamatic now offers two new dust extraction systems with extremely high CFM (cubic feet per minute) and water lift. The BDC-44 and BDC-99 Highvac Large Blower dust extractors are large capacity, high-volume vacuum systems designed for use with demolitions and shot-blasting equipment. The BDC-44 is 442 CFM at the end of a 50-foot hose, while the BDC-99 boasts a robust 830 CFM with a 5-inch hose.
Diamatic and Machine Technologies introduced their new P-25X Overlay/Grout Pump which was designed specifically to address cementitious overlay materials and high production. The P-25X pump works with the PC-5614 Topping System and has an 8-foot cubic foot hopper. The new portable pump will move the already-mixed PC-5614 material at a high rate for large production jobs. Mixing may be done in a traditional mortar mixer in large batches and pumped into place with this new system.
Diamatic added new treatments to its line of polishing chemicals, including the new FLOR-FILL (RSG) and reactive grout and pinhole filler. This product uses the dust produced during grinding to produce a high-quality grout that fills small voids and pinholes during the grinding process. FLOR-FILL (RSG) will increase surface refinement and produce high gloss levels.
FLOR-SHIELD Surface Densifying and Protective Treatment is also new for 2015. This product is a two-component reactive hydrophobic impregnating treatment that combines surface hardening with stain resistance. This chemistry becomes part of the floor and will not migrate or wear over time. FLOR-FINISH Low Gloss Additive is also new. This may be added to the existing FLOR-FINISH to reduce gloss levels by 15 to 15 points to produce a satin-finish polished floor.
The new SUPER-MAG tooling plates are universal and are designed to make tooling changes quick and easy. These plates will hold all types of diamond tooling, from metal-bonded to ceramic or resin-bonded tooling (with adapter plate). The tooling is held in place with strong rare earth magnets. The design keeps the tooling from sliding on the plate, keeping the diamonds secure and evenly spaced for performance and efficiency.
Last but not least are the new SUPER-FLEX Resins. These high-performance resin-bonded diamonds are designed for superior surface refinement and longevity. These new and improved resins are 12 millimeters high and are made for running under heavy platform grinders. The flexible rubber pad between the resins and the base help to maintain continual contact with the surface under the most extreme polishing conditions.
