Dur-A-Flex Inc., a leading manufacturer of commercial, industrial and institutional seamless flooring, announced the relocation of its West Coast operations to Ontario, Calif. The new facility, located at 3969 East Guasti Road, will accommodate expanded staff and product inventory, while providing cost and time savings for the company and its customer base.
“Our decision to move our California operations from Fontana to Ontario is on target with our focus on organic growth, our commitment to quality and our drive for continuous improvement with operating efficiencies,” says Peter V. Ferris, president and COO at Dur-A-Flex. “Our presence in California has enabled our West Coast customers to receive the same superior sales and service assistance as our East Coast customers receive from our Connecticut headquarters,” he concludes.
Dur-A-Flex opened its first West Coast operations office in 2002. Within five years, the company’s sales growth prompted the need for a larger facility to accommodate greater product inventory and additional staff. Since 2007, Dur-A-Flex’s staff has been serving customers from the Fontana facility.
The new facility, totaling over 10,000 square feet, will offer added space for Dur-A-Flex’s product inventory, floor samples and dedicated staff including West Coast Sales Representatives, Technical Support and Customer Service. A Shipping and Receiving department has been added to expedite product shipments to Asia Pacific and West Coast regional customers. Additionally, Dur-A-Flex’s contractor partners will have a second venue to choose from when attending the Application Certification Program, training designed to elevate quality-focused project assessment and product installation.
Patrick J. Meade, vice president of sales and technical support adds, “Increasing demand fueled by our entry into new markets and even more specifications for our high-performance polymer flooring and wall systems have made the expansion necessary. Our continued, sustainable growth in our West Coast operations allows us to expand our field presence in support of our best partners,” he concludes.
