Eccorok, from Ceratech Inc., has been released to market. The environmentally friendly cement product is a high-performance nonportland cement derived nearly entirely from waste streams and green sustainable materials. It gives you the ability to produce wet-cast or GFRC concrete with 97 percent recycled content (when you use recycled aggregate).
Building upon CeraTech’s cement repair technology, Eccorok has been formulated to meet the unique requirements of the architecturalsurfaces and countertop professional. Eccorok is pozzolanic in nature. Its manufacturing process involves a simple blending of powders, producing essentially zero carbon dioxide. Eccorok has little to none of the carbon footprint of portland cement production.
Performance characteristics of Eccorok include compressive strengths greater than 4,000 psi in 24 hours and 28-day strengths greater than 9,000 psi. Its particle distribution range is from 0.5 micron to 100 microns, resulting in a very dense matrix. You can use just about any type of aggregate with Eccorok, including glass, as there are no ASR (alkali silica reactivity) issues with it. Eccorok can be sprayed and integrally colored. It promises exceptional replication of detail.
Eccorok is available in 50-pound bags, 2,000-pound Super Saks and bulk containers.
