In January, at the 2014 World of Concrete, Husqvarna introduced Prime, a new product range of light and powerful electric equipment for handheld cutting, drilling and wall sawing. This new equipment is now available for use by customers.
The Prime product range of equipment is powered by a unique power supply, either the Husqvarna PP 65 or PP 220 power pack, which convert regular AC power into a high-frequency current that drives the cutting equipment. With Prime, digital electronics replace hydraulics and mechanics in all areas of concrete cutting.
The following products are now available on the market: Husqvarna DM 650 drill motor, K 6500 power cutter, K 6500 Ring saw and WS 220 wall saws. They are powered by either the PP 65 or PP 220 power pack. The customer can combine a system of products from the Prime range to suit what is most efficient for his or her needs. The customer can also expand the system as needs develop over time.
The Husqvarna K 6500 is a powerful electric handheld power cutter. The high output, low system weight, well-balanced body and low vibration levels makes this machine very efficient and easy to use. It can be powered by either the PP 65 or PP 220 power pack.
The Husqvarna K 6500 Ring is the first electric ring power cutter from Husqvarna. This machine is capable of cutting 10 inches (270 mm) deep. The machine can be powered by either the PP 65 or PP 220 power pack.
The Husqvarna WS 220 is a compact, yet powerful electric wall-sawing system. The WS 220 uses blades 23 to 35 inches thich (600 to 900 mm), and is capable of sawing through 15-inch (390 mm) thick walls. The engine delivers 8 hp (6 kW) on the spindle but weighs only 42 pounds (19 kg). It is powered by the PP 220 power pack.
The Husqvarna DM 650 is a powerful and versatile electric drill motor. The high power output, low weight and intelligent design make this the ideal system for all drilling 4 to 24 inches (100 to 600 mm). The drill motor can be powered by either PP 65 or PP 220 power pack.
The Husqvarna PP 220 is a water-cooled 9.3 hp (7 kW) power pack for the Husqvarna WS 220 wall saw. The PP 220 is equipped with wireless remote control and weighs only 22 pounds (10 kg). Advanced computing power enables maximum cutting and drilling performance. It is also compatible with the Husqvarna K 6500 power cutter, K 6500 Ring and DM 650 drill motor.
