Brea, Calif. – The ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) announces its roster for the 2018-2019 Board of Managers to include four reappointments, two new members and four continuing managers. The Board members advise ICC-ES management and help advance the company’s position as the leader in technical evaluations of building products.
The four reappointments are:
- Jeff Ellis, P.E., S.E., is the director of Codes and Compliance for Simpson Strong-Tie, where he manages the company codes and compliance efforts. He has more than 27 years of construction industry experience.
- Catherine Low, S.E., P.E., is the principal structural engineer for C.A.P. Low SE. She works on behalf of private property owners and public agencies in California and Nevada to offer advanced structural analysis and condition assessment services.
- Michael Nugent, C.B.O, currently serves as the Building Official for the City of Rock Hill, South Carolina. He has been in code administration and enforcement since 1981 in both the private and public sectors.
- Ravi Shah, Assoc. AIA., CBO, is the director of Development Services for the city of Carrollton, Texas, where he manages planning, permitting, inspections and transit-oriented development.
ICC-ES also welcomes two new experienced code officials, Sharon Goei, P.E., CBO, LEED AP, and Richard C. Truitt, Sr., to its board. Goei has over 19 years of experience in the building and construction industry and currently serves as a building official for the City of Santa Clara, Calif. Truitt is the deputy director for Harford County Government in Bel Air, Maryland, and brings more than 27 years of experience in the building safety industry.
The four continuing members are Scott McCormick; Michael L. Savage, Sr., MCP, CBO, CFPS, CEI-M; David J. Spencer, CBCO, CBO; and Daniel P. Walsh, CBO.
