Proceq has introduced the Resipod, a fully integrated four-point Wenner probe designed to measure the electrical resistivity of concrete with a nondestructive test. This portable field unit can yield accurate results in minutes instead of days.
Features and benefits of the Resipod include current flow and poor contact indication, indication of variations of water/cement ratios, identification of areas within a structure that are most susceptible to chloride penetration, onboard memory, USB connectivity and waterproof construction. Models are with an industry standard 38-millimeter probe and a 50-millimeter probe for when wider spacing is required.
The concrete surface resistivity testing is nondestructive, simple to perform and the most versatile method for on-site evaluation of concrete. In other applications, measurements can show likelihood of corrosion, estimation of corrosion rate and curing efficiency, and predict structure durability.
