Sherwin- Williams has introduced a fine-texture version of its noprimer Loxon XP masonry coating that will better cover surface imperfections.
Loxon XP can be applied to fresh concrete and masonry less than 28 days old and cures more quickly than standard coatings, so construction schedules can be accelerated. Designed for use on tilt-up, precast or poured-in-place concrete as well as concrete masonry units, cement block and stucco surfaces, Loxon XP provides superior resistance to alkali and efflorescence. With one less coat required to achieve the desired results, this product saves on time and labor costs. Loxon XP also has excellent resistance to moisture penetration from wind-driven rain, and its highbuild formula can be sprayed, rolled or even brushed on in small applications, resulting in a breathable film. With its proprietary technology, Loxon XP tolerates pH levels of up to 13. Concrete surfaces coated with Loxon XP are expected to retain their original finish for years without fading, which would reduce the frequency of repaints.
