Tindall Corp., headquartered in Spartanburg, S.C., held an official ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony at its new precast, prestressed concrete facility. The state-of-the-art batch plant features 165,000 square feet of precast concrete structures, an automated system to deliver concrete into the production bay, and storage capacity for more than 600 tons of aggregate and 480 tons of cement and fly ash.
The plant currently employs more than 125 and is expected to employ 300 when at full operational capacity. Tindall’s previous Mississippi Division plant was located in Biloxi, but Hurricane Katrina did extensive damage. Although the battered plant was able to restart production in a few weeks, company officials decided to relocate and construct a more modern facility as soon as possible.
