Surfacing Solutions Inc (SSI) recently announced its merger with Life Deck Coatings Installations. The merger took place officially as of June 1, 2023. On that date, the combined companies began conducting business as Surfacing Solutions by Life Deck Coatings Installations.
SSI began its professional practice in 1996. Its growth over the past 25 plus years has stemmed from the excellent product they so proudly produce. This has resulted in referrals from both their client base and those of other professionals. The growth and development of SSI’s professional staff has evolved similarly. The company has attracted high-quality, committed professionals, and invested in their training, development, and growth. As a result of those efforts, SSI has experienced many accomplishments over the past several years and are proud to have been a part of thousands of successful projects, which they say they owe in detail to their wonderful clients.
Why the merger
SSI decided to seek a merger with another company because the company believes that a larger organization will allow them to provide a wider array of services and more depth. In their area of the country, finding and retaining excellent people is a constant challenge. A larger organization will also mean its clients will benefit from even more and stronger project opportunities.
Life Deck shares the same values. SSI has been doing business with Life Deck over the past decade as well as with their mother company Westcoat Products. Life Deck Coatings Installations exceeded SSI’s hopes for a company they can combine with and continue the tradition they strive for with excellent customer service, quality work and an environment both clients and employees want to be a part of.
SSI will be able to provide its customers with many new services and areas of expertise in the future. They are looking forward to discussing those in more depth with current and potential customers. There are, however, several things SSI wants to point out that will not change:
- Customers will continue to work with many of the same people at SSI.
- Shawn Halverson will continue in Sales and Estimating.
- Crystal Pritchett will continue in the Project Management Department.
- The application team will continue in the field.
- SSI’s Bid structure will not change.
- The services SSI has provided in the past will continue to be offered with many additional scopes as well.
- SSI has moved its base to San Diego offices as of June 1, 2023. Existing phone numbers and emails will continue to be operational, with new contact information tofollow.
