A vinegar-producing company needed a heat- and chemical-resistant floor for their busy production facility. TNT Resurfacing partnered with Azevedo Concrete to install Westcoat’s premier urethane cement system,Temper-Crete, throughout the processing area. The Classic Wine Vinegar Company is located in Ceres, California, and needed a 1,450-square-foot floor for their facility.
Like many processing facilities, this vinegar facility needed fast turn-around on a floor that would be easy to clean and could take the wear and tear of manufacturing over time.
Westcoat Temper-Crete was chosen for this job because it is a fast drying, urethane cement featuring excellent chemical-, heat- and steam-resistant qualities. Temper-Crete is used to create industrial seamless floors in service areas, commercial kitchens, breweries, manufacturing plants or anywhere a high build, fast turnaround floor system is required.
For this particular job, more than 1,400 square feet of existing concrete was mechanically profiled to ensure proper adhesion of the coating. Temper-Crete was then applied with two ounces of Westcoat TC-40 Liquid Colorant in Bark added to the mix. For optimal non-skid benefits, TC-65 Quartz Sand was broadcasted to full refusal. The system was sealed with EC-100 Polyurea Topcoat for maximum protection from the elements.
