From day one, we put a lot of thought into the covers for each issue of Concrete Decor magazine. Because it isn’t available on newsstands, we don’t have to try to appeal to the average grocery shopper standing in line, but we definitely want our cover images to be attention-grabbing.
2015 Concrete Canoe Competition Winners
University of Florida earned “America’s Cup of Civil Engineering” in June 2015 at the 28th annual American Society of Civil Engineers’ (ASCE) National Concrete Canoe Competition (NCCC). After three days of competition against 21 other teams, the University of Florida team and its canoe, ForeverGlades, came out on top.

The American Concrete Institute recognized the winners of its inaugural Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards during the ACI Awards Gala at the Concrete Convention & Exposition, Nov. 9, 2015, in Denver, Colorado.
Fiber-reinforced Bowling Ball Competition 2016 Winners
The American Concrete Institute (ACI) announced the winners of its 2016 Fiber-Reinforced Concrete Bowling Ball Competition. The competition took place at The Concrete Convention and Exposition in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in April 2016. The first, second and third place teams received cash awards of $750, $500 and $250, respectively.
Decorative Concrete Hall of Fame 2016
Dan Sieben, one of the founders of Bomanite, along with his Bomanite cohort, John “Jack” Dryden, are among the 2016 honorees. Joe Garceau of Butterfield Colors and George Lacker of GLC3 Concrete and Couture Concrete Systems round out this year’s selection.
