On display for the first time at this year’s World of Concrete show. The new magnesium "beveling" hand tool is designed to slope the concrete edge under overhead garage doors keeping water from flowing into the building.
Traditionally, finishers would have to devise some type of jig or lower the front form and use a straight edge of some type. This timely and cumbersome task and often results with an in consistent and straight bevel under the door. The beveling hand tool is designed to take the guess work out of this application and allows less experienced workers to quickly and easily form straight beveled edges while maintaining a consistent elevation.
The tool is designed for standard 2" x 4" framing with the bevel line starting " behind the overhead door. It provides an 8" bevel from slab grade to 3/4" depth. The tool is designed with a small that allows it to slide smoothly along the form. Header forms are easily positioned differently for use of the tool with heavier framing on jobs so the bevel line starts at the proper location.
